We are one of only a handful of clinics in the United States that has reached the level required to achieve certification by the McKenzie Institute International and are the only Certified McKenzie Clinic in North or South Carolina.

Team Care was established in 2000 by Jon Weinberg PT, MDT Diplomat, MCSP with the goal to provide the highest level of patient-focused care. Since 2000 Team Care’s reputation has grown from local to national recognition.

We have established relations with many medical providers in the statewide region and are involved in research with major insurance providers including Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina.

Due to our great patient outcomes we have been invited by several well regarded orthopedists to assist them in their clinical practice.

Many practitioners claim expertise in the McKenzie method or Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) however those practitioners who have passed the Institute’s Diploma program are considered the Institute’s experts. Don’t be fooled by those who claim to practice the method but in reality have only read a book or attended a couple of courses.

Jon Weinberg, PT, Dip, MDT, has treated patients in many settings during his career, which has taken him around the world. He now runs his own business, Team Care Manual & Physical Therapy Company, Inc., Oxford, North Carolina. Of all the opportunities he's had throughout his career in medical care, he says the most rewarding experience is being able to work with someone suffering from disabling back pain and watch them leave his office after just one session of physical therapy feeling significantly better than they did when they walked through the door.
